When was the last time you looked at the details of a flower? Photography has pulled me into this world in nature. I am amazed at the beautiful small intricate details that flowers have. How they grow from seed under the ground and find there way into the world to express their unique beauty. Each kind of flower has characteristics in common but I have found by looking even deeper into the details that there always seems to be some small detail that distinguishes each flower from it's family ~ the shape of a petal , the way it opens ,the color etc Each expression ultimately has something unique about it! This journey in studying flowers has lead me to an interesting awareness. Each one of us are no different than a flower ~ we have all kinds of things in common with others ~ but each one of us has our own special characteristics that make each one of us who we are. I have learned through ~ Living On The Inside~ that the key to finding out these details, just like the flower, is through observation. When we observe ourselves we build awareness. This awareness helps us to recognize who we are and how we can bring our light to the world ~ that expression that belongs to only you! This expression is found in what you see, what you hear, what you feel, what you think,, what you believe..... all of these will lead you to understand who you are and what your purpose is in this world. It is like holding something to the light ~ you begin to see the details, you find understanding and you are able to change (grow) things easily because you then "know" what you need ~ this observation helps us grow and evolve in our understanding to fully be who we are ~ just like the flower! The flower was once a seed ~ but through patience and awareness and belief it has brought itself out of the ground to inspire and beautify this world. I believe that each one of us are meant to do the same thing! You are a beautiful flower ~ bring who you are to the world ~ and inspire others to do the same.
