When you get a moment today, take a few minutes to ground yourself and usher in some peace. Our breath is life to every cell of our body. Stress and anxiety can slow down your breathing and cease up our natural flow. When you take time to breathe, that breath travels to each cell in your body filling it with fresh air/oxygen - revitalizing it and helping it fall back into its purposeful role in our body. When we are dealing with Anxiety ~ there are many different bells and whistles ( sweating, racing mind, tight chest/throat, upset belly, numbness, etc) that go off in our bodies ~ delivering breath to the body slowly turns these off ~ (one of the biggest is "adrenalin") bringing some calm to all of your systems. Practicing breathing through anxiety is well worth the effort to work past the racing mind especially ~ it is one of my best tools. Having said all of that ~ I want to add that this picture of life in nature brought me to a visualization where I felt my bare feet on the cool grass and breathed in pulling it through my body from my feet to the top of my head ~ "feeling" the breath as it moved through ~ lighting up the path as it travelled. The breath carries with it the healing energy of the earth, plowing through the obstacles and sending the debris back to the earth for recycling ~ leaving Peace in its place! Wishing all of you a great day ~ Don't forget to Breathe ~ Colleen
